The short answer
Is there an offline TinyPNG?
Yes. Cropped compresses images on your own computer, so client work and unreleased screenshots never leave it. In our test of 20 app screenshots, Cropped’s AVIF files came out 92% smaller than the PNGs, against 71% for TinyPNG. There’s no limit on how many images you drop at once, and Core is $24.99 once.

Switching
Is there an offline TinyPNG?
Yes. Cropped compresses images on your own computer, with nothing uploaded and no limit on how many images you drop at once. It saves them as WebP, AVIF or JPEG, which every current browser shows.
Does Cropped compress WebP and AVIF?
Yes. Cropped reads and writes WebP, AVIF, JPEG and PNG, and can convert between them while it shrinks.
Does Cropped make PNGs smaller and keep them PNG?
Not on its own. A PNG saved as PNG keeps its full quality, so it only gets smaller when you resize it. For the smallest files save as WebP or AVIF; if a file has to stay PNG, TinyPNG is the better pick.
Can I compress a whole folder at once?
Yes. Drop a folder or a selection on the Drop Zone or the Studio, and the same settings apply to every image.
Does Cropped work on Windows and Linux?
Cropped runs on Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 14 or later), 64-bit Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04 or later with GNOME (Linux is in Beta). One license covers all three. A few things are Mac only for now, like the camera bubble, Webpage only and Smooth Scroll. See every difference.
Every Core and Pro tool, with no signup or card. Then keep Cropped Core for $24.99 once, and add Pro whenever you want it.
