Cropped 0.3.29
- Remove background in the Studio finds the subject and clears everything else, on your computer. Keep it see-through or put any colour behind it, and touch up edges with the Erase and Keep brush
- Captions: click Captions under a video and Make captions writes them from what is said, on your computer. Fix the words, retime them on the Captions lane, pick a look, then burn them in or save an .srt or .vtt file
- Zoom on clicks: on Mac and Windows, recordings zoom in smoothly on each click. Move, resize or remove any zoom on the Zoom lane, press Z to add one, or turn them all off
- Favicon and app icons: crop a logo and Save icon set writes favicon.ico, iPhone and Android icons, a web manifest, a Mac .icns and a Windows .ico, with paste-ready head tags
- In the Drop Zone, hover a recording’s frames to see that moment in the preview, and click to jump there
Cropped 0.3.28
- While you drag a trim handle on the Studio timeline, the preview shows the exact frame you are cutting to, with its time above the handle
- Hold the handle still to slow it down to Fine, and keep holding to step one frame at a time
- Drag the left edge of Preferences or the Guides Style panel to make it wider. Cropped remembers the width, and a double-click resets it
- Preferences never scrolls sideways: long names and folder paths wrap, and menus and fields fit the panel
Cropped 0.3.27
- Point at either end of a clip on the Studio timeline and you get the trim handle with the resize pointer, so dragging trims the clip instead of keeping a short part
- The + to keep a part still appears everywhere else along the clip, and A or + on the keyboard still keeps the part under the playhead
Cropped 0.3.26
- Pictures you drop into the Studio appear in the queue straight away, and large batches load about four times faster without freezing the window
- While a picture is still loading, it shows its preview with a progress bar, and the Loading bar at the top of the queue keeps moving
- On Linux, the Open dialog lists your pictures and videos again, including names in capitals like IMG_0001.JPG
Cropped 0.3.25
- Frames: tick two or more export sizes and switch to Frames to see every size side by side, exactly as it will export. Drag inside a frame to reframe just that size, drag a corner to zoom, and use Re-centre to start again
- In context shows each size inside a simple mock of a feed post, a Story with its safe areas, a header with the profile photo, or a video thumbnail, and Grid shows several photos in every size at once
- Guides: switch to Guides at the top left of the Studio to turn screenshots into a step-by-step guide, with a caption and editable boxes, arrows, labels, numbered badges and blur on each step
- The Style panel sets the font, text size, line thickness, colours and badge style for all steps at once, or for one step or mark. Export the guide, or copy it as Markdown
- AI apps can build and edit guides for you with the new guide tools
- When you export social sizes as WebP or AVIF, Cropped also saves a PNG or JPG copy next to each one, ready to post where WebP and AVIF are not accepted. Turn it off with Also save PNG or JPG copies under Export sizes
